Thunder storm with lightening in the distant mountains.

Elk in the meadow early in the morning.

I lost count at 70 some elk.

Rows 4 and 5 on the front of the cabin as windows start to show.

Rows 4 and 5 on the left side with 2 windows showing.

Hoisting a 9 foot log onto the wall.

Foam strips help to seal the logs together and keep out the weather.

Row 6 almost done, 3 more pieces on the back wall to go. I have
to work in between the almost daily afternoon rain showers.

Rows 7 & 8 done across the front and started on right side.

Cutting a log to be fitted onto the wall.

Setting the last log on row 9 and the walls are now 8 foot high.

Row 9 is completed and only 4 more rows to go.

Row 10 done on 3 sides and row 11 started in the front corner.

Notches for upper floor joists cut into row 10 on the back wall.

Cutting a log to length with a beam saw and homemade jig.

Row 11 is completed... just 2 more rows to go then we start
on the peak front and back and the center inside wall.
